Abstract:
A liquid crystal polyester resin including: a structural unit that is derived from an aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acid; a structural unit that is derived from an aromatic diol; and a structural unit that is derived from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, wherein per 100 mol% of all structural units of the liquid crystal polyester resin, the included quantity of the structural unit that is derived from an aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acid is 15-80 mol%, the included quantity of the structural unit that is derived from an aromatic diol is 2-40 mol%, and the included quantity of the structural unit that is derived from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid is 2-40 mol%, and the temperature sensitivity coefficient and the curing start temperature, as obtained from a rheometric spectrum, are each within a constant range. Obtained is a liquid crystal polyester resin that can be molded at a wide variety of molding temperatures, has superior molding stability, and has little thickness-dependence in the fluidity thereof.
