Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a liquid crystal sealant that can also be used in a liquid crystal-dripping technique, makes it less likely to cause relative misalignment of a pair of substrates in production of a liquid crystal display panel, and has a high adhesive strength. This liquid crystal sealant as a solution to the problem contains a (meth)acrylic resin (A), a resin (B) having an epoxy group and a (meth)acrylic group per molecule, a thermosetting agent (C) including a thermosetting agent having a melting point of 90°C or lower and/or a thermosetting agent having a melting point of 170°C or higher, and a photopolymerization initiator (D). A cured film obtained by irradiating the liquid crystal sealant with 3000 mJ/cm2 of light having a wavelength of 365 nm has an elastic modulus of 30-100 MPa at 120°C.
