Abstract:
A liquid discharge head according to the present invention comprises a flow path member and an actuator. The flow path member has an individual flow path for accommodating liquid. The individual flow path has a pressure chamber, a partial flow path that extends from the pressure chamber, and a nozzle that is open to the outside at an end portion of the partial flow path on the side opposite to the pressure chamber. The actuator applies pressure to the pressure chamber. A damping ratio of natural vibrations (main vibrations) of the liquid in the individual flow path is γ1 (rad/s). An angular frequency of the main vibrations is ω1 (rad/s). An angular frequency of high-frequency vibration is ω2 (rad/s). n is a positive integer. In this case, the formula below is satisfied. 0.95 × 2n (1 + 0.32 × γ1/ω1) ≤ ω2/ω1 ≤ 1.05 × 2n (1 + 0.32 × γ1//ω1)
