Abstract:

A head provided with a plurality of nozzles open on an ejection surface. When n and m are integers of two or more, nozzle rows having m nozzles arrayed in a direction crossing a first direction include n rows parallel to each other. When seen in the first direction, between the nozzles of each nozzle row, the nozzles of the other nozzle rows are positioned, whereby the nozzles are positioned at m × n dot positions. Each nozzle row has a nozzle pitch which is an interval defined by the number of dot positions from a dot position at which a nozzle is arranged to a dot position before the dot position at which the next nozzle is arranged. At least one nozzle row has two or more types of nozzle pitches having mutually different numbers of dot positions.
