Abstract:
A liquid feed device having a liquid storage chamber and a reservoir chamber capable of stably feeding a liquid to a liquid coating part by improving a gas/liquid exchange sensitivity and reducing the change of the stored amount of the liquid in the liquid storage chamber even if changes occur in temperature and attitude. A hollow part in the body of a writing implement is divided into the liquid storage chamber (3) for storing the liquid by a partition wall (2) having a through-hole formed at the center part thereof and the reservoir chamber (4) communicating with the atmosphere. The body (1) comprises a coating body (8) for applying the liquid in the liquid storage chamber (3), a porous transfer core (10) feeding the liquid in the liquid storage chamber (3) to the coating body (8) and inserted into the through-hole with a specified clearance (G) provided between the transfer core and the inner wall of the through-hole, and a partition wall extension part (2b) formed on the partition wall (2), projected to the liquid storage chamber side along the transfer core (10), and allowing the transfer core to be inserted therethrough with a specified clearance (G’) provided between the transfer core and the inner wall of the partition wall extension part. Then, the partition wall extension part (2b) is formed on the partition wall (2) so that its height is larger than the level (H) of the liquid stored in the liquid storage chamber when the coating body (8) is faced downward.
