Abstract:
Provided are a liquid hydrocarbon production method and a liquid hydrocarbon production device for producing, with high efficiency, a liquid hydrocarbon by suppressing addition of oxygen to carbon. This liquid hydrocarbon production method involves: generating a first gas containing H2, CH4, and a light olefin through thermal degradation of a carbon compound by using a metal oxide as a heating medium; generating a second gas containing CO through partial oxidation of, in a CO2 atmosphere, solid carbon created as a by-product on the surface of the metal oxide during the thermal degradation; generating a third gas containing CO and H2 through a steam reforming reaction and an aqueous gas shift reaction by supplying steam to a light saturated hydrocarbon gas and the second gas; and obtaining a liquid hydrocarbon by using the first gas and the third gas as materials.
