A lithium ion battery comprising a cell including a positive current collector, a positive active material layer, a separator, a negative active material layer, and a negative current collector which have been stacked in this order, characterized by including a frame member which has been disposed between the positive current collector and the negative current collector and with which the positive active material layer, the separator, and the negative active material layer have been sealed, the frame member having, disposed therein, an electronic component for determining the internal condition of the cell.
