Abstract:
This lithium-metal composite oxide includes: secondary particles that are aggregates of primary particles; and isolated particles that exist separately from the secondary particles. The lithium metal composite oxide has a layered rock salt-type structure, is represented by composition formula (1), and satisfies requirements (1) and (2). (1): 1.2≤LA/LB<1.60 (LA is the crystallite diameter determined from the diffraction peak in the range of 2θ=18.8±1° in powder X-ray diffraction using CuKα rays and LB is the crystallite diameter determined from the diffraction peak in the range of 2θ=38.3±1°.) (2): The lithium site occupancy of Me in the layered rock salt-type structure as determined by Rietvelt analysis of the abovementioned diffraction peaks is 2.5%. Me is Ni, Co, Mn or X1.
