Abstract:
In the present invention, a lithium secondary battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator arranged between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. At the negative electrode, lithium metal is deposited during charging, while lithium metal is dissolved during discharging. The non-aqueous electrolyte contains lithium ions, cations of a metal M1 that forms an alloy with lithium, and halide ions.
