Abstract:

　Provided is novel lithium styrene sulfonate that makes it possible to overcome increases in production costs due to drying under atmospheric pressure or reduced pressure at temperatures of 40ºC or higher and the polymerization of lithium styrene sulfonate. Lithium styrene sulfonate characterized in having a temperature of 120ºC or higher at the top of the main endothermic peak in the 80-170ºC range when measured using a differential thermogravimetric simultaneous measurement device under measurement conditions of heating at a rate of 2ºC/min in a nitrogen stream.
