Abstract:
The invention relates to an on-load tap changer (L) for switching over without interruption between winding taps of a tap-changing transformer according to the center tapping principle, wherein the tap-changing transformer comprises a first and a second winding (W1, W2), wherein the first winding (W1) comprises a first regulating winding (R1) having first winding taps (WA1), and the second winding (W2) comprises a second regulating winding (R2) having second winding taps (WA2); wherein – the on-load tap changer (L) has a load transfer switch (LU) for carrying out a switchover between two of the first winding taps (WA1) or between two of the second winding taps (WA2), wherein – the load transfer switch (LU) comprises a main branch (Z1) having at least one switching element (SE) and – an auxiliary branch (Z2) having at least one current-limiting element (V), for example a varistor.
