Abstract:
Provided in the embodiments of the present invention are local architecture-based positioning methods and system, a method comprising: a positioning server receives from an application server a position query request or position subscription request for a user equipment, the positioning server being deployed locally; the positioning server sends to a base station a positioning request message for the user equipment according to the position query request or the position subscription request, and receives from the base station a positioning response message carrying a positioning result of the user equipment; and the positioning server sends the positioning response message to the application server.
