Abstract:
An assembly for interconnecting more than one interfacing device has a wall mountable box (2) having cavities (12, 14) therein. The cavities (12, 14) have an open front face and at least a partially open rear face (48, 56). Edge card connectors (150A, 150B) interconnectable to shielded (130) or unshielded (120) cable are insertable through the rear face of the wall box. A shielded cable connector portion (200) is insertable through the front face and has an edge card (280) mounted thereto having conductive traces (284) interconnected to resilient terminals (214), the terminals (214) accessible through the front mating face. An unshielded cable connector portion (390) is insertable through the front mating face of a second cavity. The unshielded connector (390) is mounted to a printed circuit board (396) which is interconnectable with an edge card connector (150B) within the cavity. The shielded (200) or unshielded connectors (390) are disposed in the front mating face for interconnection with a mating shielded (500) or unshielded connector (490).
