Abstract:
A locating system is regionally divided into several management areas, and the
management area includes: address management server which is used to collect
and bind the communication address and user identification of all the network
users in the management area, and send the binding information to the area locating
server in the management area; area locating server which is used to store and
update the binding information of user identification and communication of
all the users in the management area, and send the binding information to network
users within or outside the management area according to received querying request,
and sends the binding information of user identification and communication
of the user being not in the management area to the home management area of the user.
The method of the invention could provide a user locating mechanism which is separated
from the service and application, and locate for mobile users in the whole packet
network.
