Abstract:
This location estimation device comprises: a splitting unit that splits a three-dimensional point group of a street tree into a plurality of first clusters, said three-dimensional point group having been measured by a measurement device that measures the three-dimensional location of each point in a three-dimensional space; a slicing unit that slices the first clusters into a plurality of regions in a horizonal direction; a trunk estimation unit that transfers and assigns identification information identifying a representative point of a second cluster which was split from a region, to a representative point of a second cluster which was split from a region in which the height direction coordinates are higher than in the aforementioned region, said representative point existing within the range of a first threshold value from the aforementioned representative point; and a location estimation unit that selects representative points to which the same identification information was assigned, and estimates the location of the street tree on the basis of an approximation line which was calculated from the selected representative points.
