Abstract:

A lock device enabling a reduction in an operating load when operated from an unlocked state to a locked state without lowering the locking force of a striker to a lock mechanism in the locked state. The lock device comprises the lock mechanism (20) installed in one of two members locked to each other and the striker (50) installed in the other of the two members. The lock mechanism (20) comprises a first contact point (C1) where a pawl (30) is brought into contact with a hook (26) in the unlocked state by the elastic force of a lock spring (34) and a second contact point (C2) where a cam (40) is brought into contact with the hook in the unlocked state by the elastic force of a pushing-in spring (42). These both contact points are set at different portions. Where a value obtained by dividing a distance (L1) between the rotating center of the hook and the first contact point (C1) in the direction of a normal line to the circular arcs of the hook (26) and the pawl (30) at the first contact point (C1) by a distance (a) between the normal line and the center of rotation of the pawl is (A) and a value obtained by dividing a distance (L2) between the center of rotation of the hook and the second contact point (C2) in the direction of a normal line to the circular arcs of the hook (26) and the cam (40) at the second contact point (C2) by a distance (b) between the normal line and the center of rotation of the pawl is (B), the second contact point (C2) is set so that (B) becomes smaller than (A).
