The present invention provides a lock pin assembly/disassembly system of a container and a working method therefor. The lock pin assembly/disassembly system of a container comprises: a control unit; a recognition unit, which is connected to the control unit and is used to identify type and position information of the container as well as type and position information of the lock pin, and transmit the recognition result to the control unit; and an assembly/disassembly unit, which is connected to the control unit, the control unit, according to a received recognition result, controlling the assembly/disassembly unit to remove the lock pin on the container or mount the lock pin on the container. By using the described system, unmanned, automated container lock pin disassembly and assembly can be achieved, thereby increasing the operation efficiency of a wharf.
