Abstract:
Provided is a logistics management system which can eliminate inefficiency in metal logistics management and inefficiency in inventory management at a user factory or the like. This logistics management system manages status information for metal to be delivered to a user, the system comprising: a server connected to a database which stores status information and management information; a label printer which creates a label on which is printed an information code linked to the status information and the management information; and an information code reader that reads the information code of a label attached to a metal and transmits the status information and the management information. The server stores, to the database via a communication network, the following: inventory and consumed status information linked to an information code read by the information code reader which can switch between a receive mode and a consume mode; and the date and time at which the status information was stored to the database.
