Disclosed are a logistics sorting system and a logistics sorting method. The logistics sorting system (100) comprises a conveying module (110), an identification module (120), a sorting module (130), cargo storage modules (140) and a central controller (150), wherein the conveying module (110) is arranged in front of the sorting module (130), the identification module (120) is arranged above the conveying module (110) or above the sorting module (130), several cargo storage modules (140) are successively arranged on two sides of the sorting module (130) respectively, and the central controller (150) is electrically connected to the conveying module (110), the identification module (120), the sorting module (130) and the several cargo storage modules (140), respectively. By effectively improving the automation degree of the logistics sorting system, the technical problem of a slow sorting rate of existing logistics sorting systems is solved, and by means of a rational layout of the various modules of the logistics sorting system, the complexity of the logistics sorting system can be further simplified, sorting efficiency can be improved and the operation integrity of the system can be ensured.
