Disclosed is a longwall mine construction method 110, comprising arranging a belt downhill channel (24), a return air downhill channel (25), and a track downhill channel (26), the entire panel being provided with a plurality of work faces (20), an upper gate road (21) and a lower gate road (22) of the work face of each mine being connected to the belt downhill channel; after each work face has been mined, the lower gate road is retained to act as the upper gate road of the next work face, the lower gate road (29) of the next work face being connected to the return air downhill channel. The present method not only enables the ventilation of a mining face to be implemented by means of the upper gate road and the lower gate road of the present work face, but also supports implementation thereof in the lower gate road of the next work face, thus increasing the ventilation volume of the mining face, increasing the ventilation speed, and thereby improving ventilation performance to improve the safety of coal mine production.
