Abstract:
Disclosed is a low-dispersion single-mode optical fiber, comprising a fiber core layer and a cladding layer, wherein the core layer has a relative refractive index difference Δ1 of 0.30% - 0.65% and a radius R1 of 2.5 μm-4.5 μm, and the cladding layer is divided, from inside to outside, into three cladding sub-layers and an outer cladding layer. The core layer is coated with a first cladding sub-layer, which has a relative refractive index difference Δ2 of -0.70% to -0.30% and a radius R2 of 4.5 μm - 7.0 μm. The first cladding sub-layer is coated with a second cladding sub-layer, which has a relative refractive index difference Δ3 of -0.20% - 0.25% and a radius R3 of 7.0 μm - 12.0 μm. The second cladding sub-layer is coated with a third cladding sub-layer, which has a relative refractive index difference Δ4 of -0.60% - 0.00% and a radius R4 of 10.0 μm - 20.0 μm. The third cladding sub-layer is coated with the outer cladding layer, which is a pure silicon dioxide glass layer. A cut-off wavelength of an optical fiber cable is less than 1260 nm, the overall dispersion is low for a wave band of 1260 nm - 1460 nm, the attenuation performance is good, and the optical fiber cable is particularly suitable for a WDM transmission system for a wave band of 1260 nm - 1460 nm.
