Abstract:
The present invention concerns a technique relating to a low-energy-consumption dryer wherein water content is lowered by between 10 and 60% in drying wet solid objects having a high water content such as sludges, food doughs, semi-finished products and agricultural products. The issue to be addressed by the present invention is to provide a low-energy-consumption dryer which prevents the occurrence of smells and is hygienic and safe and wherein the structure and the heating method of the dryer are rationally implemented such that the energy consumption required for drying is minimised. The means for addressing this issue is a low-energy-consumption dryer which uses the principle of a heat pump and comprises: a drying chamber housing a condenser provided lengthwise in the length direction; an air-permeable conveyor; a suction fan; a surplus heat cooler; an air cooler; and an automatic control panel. Here, cooling air flows in from the low temperature side of the condenser in the drying chamber and absorbs heat energy while moving towards the high temperature side and at the same time dries a wet solid object while undergoing heat exchange therewith, and, after the drying, the temperature of the air is maintained at a high temperature, such that the efficiency of thermal energy use is improved, and hot air or hot water recovered in the surplus heat cooler is reused such that the efficiency of thermal energy use is improved. The present invention has the advantage that the consumption of the thermal energy required for drying is minimised, and hot air or hot water created in the surplus heat cooler is reused such that not only is there a saving in energy but there is also a dramatic reduction in the amount of carbon emissions, smells are not created, and the dried solid objects are hygienically safe.
