Abstract:
A low power PAM-4 output transmitter is disclosed. The low power PAM-4 output transmitter comprises: a first source series terminated (SST) branch including a plurality of unit cells formed of a plurality of transistors selectively turned on according to an input signal output from an encoder; a second source series terminated (SST) branch including a plurality of unit sells formed of a plurality of transistors selectively turned on by means of a negative signal of the input signal as an input; and a common voltage switch (H3) for controlling the first SST branch and the second SST branch to be short-circuited or opened, wherein the first SST branch and the second SST branch are short-circuited or opened according to an operation of the common voltage switch so that a differential signal is output from both ends of the first SST branch and the SST branch.
