Title:
LOWER SUBSTRATE FOR ELECTROWETTING DISPLAY DEVICE, AND ELECTROWETTING DISPLAY DEVICE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2024/046506
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of electrowetting display device production. Disclosed are a lower substrate for an electrowetting display device, and an electrowetting display device and a preparation method therefor. In the present invention, on the basis of a conventional pixel grid, the pixel grid is transformed by using capillary action. A pixel wall (400) is designed, such that each pixel grid (410) has a pinning structure (411). The pinning structure (411) may tightly lock a polar liquid (700) under the action of capillary force. The pinning structure (411) matches a step structure (500), such that the break and the movement direction of ink are controllable. After the ink breaks, the ink can move in a unified direction, such that the display effect of the electrowetting display device is uniform; moreover, the aggregation of the ink in adjacent pixel grids (410) can be prevented, thereby preventing the risk of the ink going over a wall.
