Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a lubricant application apparatus and a passenger conveyer that has a simple structure and that is capable of applying a lubricant to an upper extension surface and a lower extension surface in a sliding surface on an inner side of a folded part of a moving handrail. The lubricant application apparatus is provided with: a first lubricating member that is secured to a handrail guiding section of a handrail guide, that is disposed so as to protrude upward from an opening formed in the handrail guiding section, that has, as an upper surface thereof, a first lubricant application surface and that has, as a lower surface thereof, a first inclined surface in which the thickness between the first lubricant application surface and the first inclined surface increases at a constant rate toward one direction of the longitudinal direction of the handrail guide; and a second lubricating member that is slidably stacked on the first lubricating member with an upper surface thereof contacting the first inclined surface, that is restricted from moving in the width direction of the handrail guide, that is disposed so as to protrude downwards from the opening, and that has, as a lower surface thereof, a second lubricant application surface, said upper surface serving as a second inclined surface in which the thickness between the second lubricant application surface and the second inclined surface decreases by the constant rate towards one direction of the longitudinal direction of the handrail guide.
