Abstract:
The present invention relates to a lubricant composition which is obtained by blending (A) a tertiary amine having a specific structure, (B) a metal-based detergent having a total base number of 50 mgKOH/g or less as measured by a perchloric acid method, (C) a metal-based detergent having a total base number of 150 mgKOH/g or more as measured by a perchloric acid method, (D) at least one compound selected from among acidic phosphate esters and acidic phosphite esters, and (E) a lubricant base oil. This lubricant composition satisfies condition (X) such that the mass ratio of the metal component derived from the component (B) to the metal component derived from the component (C), namely (B)/(C) is 0.60 or less.
