Abstract:
Provided is a lubricating oil additive which is capable of increasing anti-shudder life, gear change characteristics and transmission torque capacity to satisfactory levels if contained in a lubricating oil.
This lubricating oil additive contains (A) one or more succinimide compounds represented by general formula (1) and (B) one or more succindiamide compounds represented by general formula (2), and the content of component (B) relative to the total content of component (A) and component (B) is 1-99% by weight.
(In formula (1) and formula (2), each of R1 and R2 independently represents a hydrocarbyl group having 8-30 carbon atoms; and each of x, y and z independently represents an integer of 1-7.)
