Abstract:
A lubricating oil composition for refrigerators wherein the base oil contains as the main component at least one oxygen-containing compound selected from among polyoxyalkylene glycols, polyvinyl ethers, copolymers of poly(oxy)alkylene glycols or monoethers thereof and polyvinyl ethers, polyol esters, and polycarbonates. The lubricating oil composition is useful for refrigerators wherein fluorine-containing organic compounds having specific polar structures, which are refrigerants applicable to current car air conditioners, are used as the refrigerant. The lubricating oil composition is well compatible with the above refrigerants and excellent in sealing property, reduction of friction factor in a sliding part, and stability.
