Abstract:
The present invention pertains to: a lubricating oil composition for a shock absorber; a friction reduction method for a shock absorber; and a method for manufacturing a lubricating oil composition for a shock absorber. The lubricating oil composition according to the present invention for a shock absorber is characterized by comprising a base oil, a zinc primary dialkyldithiophosphate having an alkyl chain length of 6 or less and oleic acid. According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, use of the lubricating oil composition of the present invention for a shock absorber makes it possible to optimize friction characteristics in a sliding position between hard materials, for example, a rod and a bush and, moreover, friction characteristics in a sliding position between a hard material and a soft material, for example, a rod and an oil seal and a cylinder and a piston band, in an oil shock absorber.
