Title:
LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/070363
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a lubricating oil composition that contains a mineral oil (A) and an ashless friction modifier (B) and that satisfies condition (I) indicated below. Condition (I): when a sample oil (α) containing the mineral oil (A), 1 mass% of the ashless friction modifier (B), and 5 mass% of polybutenyl succinimide is prepared and change in the value of the viscosity coefficient accompanying change in surface force is measured by using a resonance shear measurement device on the sample oil (α), the surface force x0 satisfies formula (i) indicated below and is 5.0 (mN/m) or more. Formula (i): µ(0) × 5 = µ(x0) (in formula (i), µ(0) represents the value of the viscosity coefficient (Ns/m) at a surface force of 0 (mN/m), and µ(x0) represents the value of the viscosity coefficient (Ns/m) at the surface force x0 (mN/m)). The lubricating oil composition does not necessitate restrictions on the use environment thereof with regard to temperature, pressure, and the like and can stably achieve an excellent friction reduction effect even when used between sliding members in which the surface roughnesses of the sliding surfaces thereof are reduced and the clearance is a few nm.
