Abstract:
This lubricating oil composition contains: (A) a lubricant base oil; (B1) a first amide compound, which is a monoamide of a fatty acid (a1) and an amine compound (a2), and/or a salt thereof, wherein the amine compound (a2) is an oligomer of an alkanolamine (a3) that is represented by general formula (1); and (B2) a second amide compound which has a structure that is obtained by acylating an amino group and one or more hydroxy groups of the alkanolamine (a3) with the fatty acid (a1). This lubricating oil composition satisfies formula (eq1). (eq1): MB2 ≥ 0.50 × MB1
(In the formula, MB1 and MB2 respectively represent the contents (mass%) of the first amide compound and the component (B2).) Formula (1)
(In the formula, n represents 1 or 2; each R1 represents a linear alkylene group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a branched alkylene group which has 3 to 10 carbon atoms, while having 2 carbon atoms in the main chain; and the plurality of R1 moieties may be the same as or different from each other.)
