Abstract:
Provided is a Lundell type rotating machine that has a strong and magnetically-favorable magnet-holding structure, high efficiency, and high output. A rotor iron core is provided with: laminated magnetic pole members that form a Lundell-type rotor iron core by being mechanically and magnetically coupled to each of two laminated magnetic end plates, extended in the axis direction, and meshed with each other; and permanent magnets that are arranged between the magnetic pole members. The magnetic pole members are held in place at prescribed positions between the magnetic end plates, by dovetail slots of a non-magnetic holding body, for the whole length of the magnetic pole members, and the permanent magnets are clamped between the magnetic pole members in direct contact therewith. A magnet-holding structure that is mechanically strong even when making the structure large, and that is magnetically highly-efficient is thereby attained.
