Abstract:
Disclosed is an industrially advantageous method for producing 3,5-di-tert-butyl halogenobenzene with high purity in high yields. The method for producing a 3,5-di-tert-butyl halogenobenzene represented by general formula (2) is characterized by reacting the 1,3,5-tri-tert-butylbenzene shown in formula (1) with a halogenating agent in the presence of an antimony compound.
