Abstract:

A machine tool (100) is provided with: a cover with an opening; a door (136) that covers the opening; a driving mechanism (137) that drives the door (136); a detection unit (138) that detects an actual position of the door (136); and an operation panel (140) that receives an operation for the machine tool (100). A control device (40) for the machine tool (100) executes: a process, on the basis of the operation panel (140) having received a first opening operation, of controlling the driving mechanism (137) to open the door (136); a process, on the basis of the operation panel (140) having received a position determination operation, of obtaining the actual position from the detection unit (138) and storing the actual position as an open position of the door (136); and a process, on the basis of the operation panel (140) having received a second opening operation, of controlling the driving mechanism (137) such that the door (136) is positioned at the open position. An opening speed of the door (136) in the first opening operation is slower than an opening speed of the door (136) in the second opening operation.
