Abstract:
A machine tool (100) comprises: a cover body (130) for forming a demarcated machining area in the machine tool (100); a discharge unit (125) for discharging a coolant into the machining area; a mist collector (40) for collecting substances in air generated by discharging the coolant into the machining area by the discharge unit (125); a sensor (80) installed outside the machining area to detect substances; and a mist collector control unit (154) for starting, on the basis of detection of substances by the sensor (80), a process of collecting the substances by the mist collector (40).
