Abstract:
A machine tool (100) comprises a tooling holding part (70) having an insertion port for a tooling (60). The tooling (60) includes a tool holding part (62) for holding a tool, and an HSK shank (64) to be inserted into the insertion port. The machine tool (100) further comprises: a detection unit (45) for detecting physical information indicating the state of a gap between the tooling (60) and the tooling holding part (70); and a control unit (50) for controlling the machine tool (100). The control unit (50) comprises: an acquisition unit (54) for acquiring the physical information from the detection unit (45) while the tooling (60) is mounted in the tooling holding part (70); a determination unit (56) for determining, on the basis of the acquired physical information, whether the tooling (60) is properly mounted in the tooling holding part (70); and an execution unit (58) for executing a predetermined process in a case in which it is determined that the tooling (60) is not properly mounted in the tooling holding part (70).
