Abstract:
According to the present invention, in a tool imaging method in which a tool (T) and a workpiece (W) are caused to move relative to each other to capture an image of the tool being held on a main spindle (110) of a machine tool (100) which processes the workpiece with the rotating tool: the tool to be imaged is attached to the leading end of the main spindle of the machine tool; the main spindle holding the tool is moved to an imaging position inside a processing chamber (122) where the workpiece is to be processed; and an image of the tool being held at the imaging position within the processing chamber is captured by an imaging device (150) disposed within a tool storage chamber (124) where a plurality of tools are stored.
