Abstract:
This machine tool comprises: a turret having first and second stations on which tools are mountable; a tool container unit capable of containing a plurality of tools; a machining control unit for controlling a tool mounted on the turret to machine a workpiece in accordance with a machining program; a tool replacement unit for replacing a tool mounted on the turret with a tool contained in the tool container unit; and a tool pattern storage unit in which a combination of tools corresponding to a first part of the machining program and mounted on the first and second stations is stored as a first tool pattern, and a combination of tools corresponding to a second part of the machining program and mounted on the first and second stations is stored as a second tool pattern.
