Abstract:
Provided is a machine tool that can further suppress quadrant protrusion. A plurality of drive units U1 include a first drive unit U11 that moves a driven object (20) along a first feed axis F1 and a second drive unit U12 that moves the driven object (20) along a second feed axis F2 that intersects the first feed axis F1. A control unit U2 controls the moving of the driven object (20) by the plurality of drive units U1 and, in order to suppress quadrant protrusion 200 due to reversal of the drive directions of the drive units U1, performs correction by applying a set acceleration amount ΔVi to the drive units U1 over a set acceleration time Ti. The control unit U2, using a value representing torque applied by the drive units U1 to the driven object (20) as a drive torque value TR2i, adjusts the set acceleration amount ΔVi and/or the set acceleration time Ti on the basis of the drive torque value TR2i which has, as a baseline, a baseline torque value TR1i that represents a baseline torque.
