Abstract:
Provided is a machine tool that can set an appropriate delivery position which corresponds to the weight and length of a workpiece and at which the workpiece is transferred between a Cartesian coordinate robot and a partner device. A machine tool comprises: a partner device capable of holding a workpiece; a Cartesian coordinate robot that includes a holding member for holding the workpiece and that transfers the workpiece, which is held by the holding member, between the Cartesian coordinate robot and the partner device; and a control device that controls the Cartesian coordinate robot. The control device executes: an acquisition process for acquiring the weight and length of the workpiece in the transfer between the Cartesian coordinate robot and the partner device; and a setting process for setting a delivery position, which is the position of the Cartesian coordinate robot in the transfer of the workpiece between the Cartesian coordinate robot and the partner device, on the basis of the weight and length of the workpiece that have been acquired in the acquisition process.
