Abstract:
A machining device (10) comprises: encoders (6A, 6B) which detect a first rotation position of motors (5A, 5B) for driving an unwinding shaft (11A) and a winding shaft (15B) for transporting a material (12); an encoder (6C) which detects a second rotation position of a motor (5C) for driving a cutter blade (162) for shearing the material (12); and a controller (1) which carries out control for the motor (5A) on the basis of the first rotation position and control for the motor (5C) on the basis of the second rotation position, to carry out cooperative control between the transport of the material (12) and the operation of the cutter blade (162), wherein the controller (1) calculates positional relationship information which indicates positional relationship between the material (12) and the cutter blade (162) on the basis of the second rotation position, determines whether or not the cutter blade (162) is in contact with the material (12) on the basis of the positional relationship information, and estimates the service life of the cutter blade (162) on the basis of a load imposed on the motor (5C) when the cutter blade (162) and the material (12) are in the contact state.
