Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, devices, apparatuses, and computer readable medium for macro-diversity transmission in a subnetwork. The method comprises: a first device detects a first quality level of a radio link between the first device and a third device in the radio access network. The first device is operating as a primary Access Point (AP) for the third device. The first device selects a second device based on one or more second quality levels, each of the one or more second quality levels is associated with a radio link between the third device and each of one or more second devices in the radio access network. Then, the first device transmits an activation indication to the selected second device, the activation indication indicating the selected second device to operate as a secondary AP for the third device, wherein one or more repetitions of a data packet communicated over the radio link between the first device and the third device are transmitted or to be transmitted by the secondary AP according to a predetermined transmission pattern for the third device.
