Abstract:
One aspect of the present invention is a magnesium-conductive solid electrolyte which is represented by the empirical formula Mg2-1.5xAlxSiO4 (wherein 0.1≤x≤1) and in which some of the magnesium ions contained in a magnesium composite oxide Mg2SiO4 having an olivine crystal structure have been replaced with aluminum ions. Another is a magnesium-conductive solid electrolyte which is represented by the empirical formula Mg2-1.5x+0.5yAlx-yZnySiO4 (wherein 0.5≤x≤1, 0.5≤y≤0.9, x-y≥0, and x+y≤1) and in which some of the magnesium ions contained in a magnesium composite oxide Mg2SiO4 having an olivine crystal structure have been replaced with aluminum ions and zinc ions.
