Abstract:
An isotropic iron-based rare-earth boron magnet alloy containing a RE2Fe14B-type tetragonal compound phase (wherein RE represents a rare earth element) as a main phase, the magnet alloy having a composition represented by the compositional formula: T100-x-y-z-m(B1-nCn)xREyCrzMm (wherein T represents at least one transition metal element selected from the group consisting of Fe, Co and Ni, in which Fe is essentially included; RE represents a rare earth element in which Nd or Pr is essentially included; and M represents at least one metal element selected from the group consisting of Al, Si, V, Ti, Mn, Cu, Zn, Ga, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ag, Hf, Ta, W, Pt, Au and Pb) in which the compositional ratios x, y, z, m and n respectively satisfy the formulae 5.6 ≤ x ≤ 6.4 at.%, 11.2 ≤ y ≤ 12.0 at.%, 2.3 ≤ z ≤ 5.4 at.%, 0.0 ≤ m ≤ 3.0 at.% and 0.0 ≤ n ≤ 0.5, and the addition of Cr is essential for the magnetic alloy.
