Abstract:

A VTR which records and reproduces the data by dividing a feed of video signals into N components using M magnetic heads. In recording the data, a signal recorded onto an n-th (n=1, 2, -----, N) track is delayed by (n-1).T, and an addition signal of a period E is inserted into a blanking period that is formed as a result of the delay. In reproducing the data, a signal reproduced from the n-th track is delayed by (N-n).d, and is subjected to the TBC processing, to obtain a picture without any skews.
