Abstract:
A magnetic bearing (20) contactlessly supports an object to be supported by means of a composite electromagnetic force (F) from first and second electromagnets (51, 52). When a first current (i1) flowing in the first electromagnet (51) is i1, a second current (i2) flowing in the second electromagnet (52) is i2, a control current (id) is id, a bias current (ib) is ib, a reference gap length (g0) is g0, the displacement (x) of the object being supported with respect to the center position is x, and a previously determined correction coefficient (a) is a, a controller (40) controls the first current (i1) and the second current (i2) so that equation 1 and equation 2 hold true.
