Abstract:

　Provided is a magnetic core component with which it is possible to suppress leakage flux while controlling the number of dies required during molding. Also provided is a chip inductor in which the component is used. A magnetic core component 1 having a winding shaft part 1a for winding a winding wire 4, the component being obtained by joining two identically shaped half members that are magnetic bodies, and the component having: leg parts 1b provided at both ends of the winding shaft part 1a, and a cover part 1c provided across one end part of both leg parts in parallel to the winding shaft part 1a; a joining face 1d being formed on the winding shaft part 1a and the cover part 1c, the joining face 1d being non-perpendicular to the axial direction of the winding shaft part 1a.
