Abstract:

　A magnetic material of an embodiment is provided with: a composition represented by composition formula 1: (Fe1-x-yCoxTy)2(B1-aAa)b; and a metal structure having a CuAl2 crystalline phase as the primary phase. In composition formula 1, (T) is at least one element selected from the group consisting of V, Cr, and Mn, and (A) is at least one element selected from the group consisting of C, N, Si, S, P, and Al. The atomic ratio (x) of Co and the atomic ratio (y) of element (T) are such that 0.01≤y≤0.5 and x+y≤0.5. However, if element (T) includes at least one element selected from V and Cr, the total atomic ratio of V and Cr is 0.03 or greater, and if the element (T) includes Mn, the atomic ratio of Mn is 0.3 or less. The element (A) atomic ratio (a) satisfies 0≤a≤0.4, and the total atomic ratio (b) of (B) and the element (A) satisfies 0.8≤b≤1.2.
