Title:
MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING DEVICE AND METHOD OF OPERATING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/058062
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to extend the longevity of a cooler and to reduce idle periods of an MRI device due to maintenance of the cooler by controlling the cooling capacity of the cooler (107) of a superconducting magnet such that it exhibits roughly the same cooling and heat absorption as the quantity of heat that enters a refrigerant container (202) of the superconducting magnet in order to maintain the pressure of the refrigerant container (202) within a permissible range. Additionally, either the change in magnetic field strength or magnetic homogeneity of an imaging space that accompanies pressure change inside the refrigerant container (202) is compensated with a magnetic field adjusting unit.
