Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to enable the convenient provision of optimal therapeutic conditions on a per disorder and patient basis by having a coil driving power supply (1) identify the type of coil (2-1, 2-2) connected thereto and apply a specific current waveform pattern to the coil (2-1, 2-2). The transcranial magnetic stimulation system according to the present invention has at least one current waveform pattern for inducing a magnetic field in the coil, has in the coil (2-1, 2-2) and/or the power supply (1) a detection means for determining the type of coil that is connected, and determines the magnetic field-inducing current waveform pattern depending on the determined coil type.
